about

"Whirled" was recorded in four or five days in the Spring of 1988 at the Drive-In in Winston Salem, N.C. by Mitch Easter, who also mixed the album. The vast majority of the music was written by founding Mambo-X members Seth Kaufman, Mitch Rosen and Erin O'Hara.

Others who aided and abetted the songs that appeared on "Whirled" include former members Seth Walter, Steve Seney, Barry Litman and Mark Wilken.

The late Dan Griffin was instrumental in making this album happen.

about

Mambo-X Albany, New York

Powered by the twirling stage theatrics of singer Erin O'Hara and the interweaving guitars of Seth Kaufman and Mitch Rosen, alterna-dance band Mambo-X was one of Albany NY's most popular acts.

After gigging extensively on the East Coast and releasing a single, a flexi-disc and the EP Machines of Eden, the band recorded Whirled in 1988 with producer Mitch Easter and then promptly imploded.
